Zona 1 mcc Andy Bubb trial... May 2010

I popped 65 miles up the M5 to the Zona 1's Andy Bubb trial, and what a difference can be seen at Nettleton these days. Steve and the crew have transformed the quarry from when I last rode up there. 200 tonnes of rock have been imported and can be moved around to create sections of all levels.
They did a brilliant job in fabricating and setting out sections to suit everyone who rode today. British Ladies Champion and World number 2 Becky Cook had entered and it took a few marks off her, she won on 11 marks lost. On my part I bottled out of trying the expert route and went for the next level down and it was spot on... I lost 3 single dabs but spoilt the score sheet with a 5 after stalling my bike in a flat bit of a section when my brain and clutch finger failed to communicate!!!.. just seen the results and without that 5 I would have won!! Bugger..Never mind, I was pleased that I was the only rider in class to clean the tricky section 8, and I beat mr Wheeler on most cleans for 2nd though!! It was a bloody good trial, and also bloody hot up on top of the cotswolds.. about 27 degrees I think.
Dave Squance was on camera duty for r2wtrials.. small gallery here... he was following me around a fair bit so sorry for the images of me!!... thanks to all at Zona 1 for a great day.
