The 2005 was starting to look a bit tatty, not helped by constant contact with Welsh rockery...!!
After our last ride I decided it was time for a bit of a tart-up and phoned Gary at John Lampkins for a selection of parts. This little colection arrived the next day... brilliant service as usual from Beta UK.

A new set of 2006 graphics, 2006 rear mudguard and vent inserts, 1998 Techno front Mudguard and a new air filter. The reason for the Techno front mudguard is that I love the Black look. I plan on having the triple-clamps anodised black at some stage, replacing the bars with some black pro-tapers and also getting the wheels anodised black.... the last one may never happen as it costs a fair bit!!

The Pro-Tapers Bars have arrived!!! ... Good old Ebay, these aren't available to buy in the shops yet and look lovely.

Also a big thanks to Trial-cast for sending these along...nice oversize adjusters to complete the transformation!!

So, I started with a dirty 2005 Rev3 .....

...I Gave it a wash, removed all the old frame/tank graphics and fitted the rear mudguard. I didn't tighten it fully at this point as you need to line up the new tank graphics with the mudguard graphics before lifting the guard so that the ends of the tank ones can be affixed to the top of the frame. Once all tightened and new filter fitted it was a quick job to replace the front mudguard.... and there you go, new bike!!!

... With the Pro-Taper bars and oversize adjusters fitted it looks even better I think. The front Mudguard looks good as well, and it says "Dougie Lampkin Replica" on the front!!!... perhaps this could be an omen to getting him back where he belongs, on a Beta !!!

So the bike spec is now... 2005 250 Rev3, 2006 plastics & graphics, Trialcast footrests & Rear adjusters, Radycool Carbon fork Guards, Radycool frame and fork graphics kit, V-Force 3 reed kit, Pro-Taper low Trials bars, Lampkin floatbowl extender, Fluro vent pipes by Justin! , Graffics uk numberboard, running on Repsol oil.
