Steve the younger's views...

... Steve is 14 and only started riding a year ago, first on a horrible RTX twinshock then a 315 Montesa and lately a 125 txt GasGas. He is not a large lad so he finds the power of a good 125 enough for his needs.. He has come on leaps and bounds lately and is riding trials events around here in the Bristol area.. He rode the Scorpa 125f, Sherco 125, Beta 125 and 200 and the 125 GasGas pro. Here he gives us a quick run down...

.. Scorpa 125f

"  When I wrote my name down to ride the bike I was exited because i've never rode a scorpa before. But I didn't know that it was a 4-stroke until I got on it..! I didn't really like the bike. I thought that it was to aggressive (on and off) and extremely heavy. "

... Beta Rev3 125

"I do think that the beta does look the nicest of the bunch and I love the way it felt. The suspension made it easier to ride when I was hoping over the rocks. The bike feels quite heavy to me but I did like the bike a lot.

 .. Sherco 125

" I do like the design of this bike, the black frame looks great with the blue and silver. The black rims match the design effectively. It rode well and felt quite light, but it definitely needed some different footpegs!!

. GasGas 125 Pro

" Being a youth B rider with less than a years experience I wasn't expecting much difference from my Gas Gas 2001 txt 125. But I was very much mistaken. The first time I saw the bike I immediately wanted it/fell in love with it. The black handlebars look sweet up against the yellow and black graphics. The shiny chrome stood out lovely in the sunshine which made the bike look twice as nice.

As soon as I started to ride the bike everything fell into place. The minute I got onto it, it felt light and easy to control due to superb brakes and effortless clutch. I rode the bike around a loose rocky section and I immediately felt how well the front and rear suspension was soaking up the terrain. I found myself going over obstacles I wouldn't have attempted on my old gasgas due to the power delivery and responsiveness of the engine. This is my dream bike!!!

Thanks Steve... and I hope his dad, Terry, picked up on the subtle hint on a Christmas present idea!!!
