The Mendip Vale Fun Christmas Turkey Team Trial is back !. That is back to a Saturday, after last year's running of the event on a Sunday was not too successful, as the regular supporters had it diaried for the Saturday - oops ! and this year the event runs on 20th December, so is the last chance for some R and R before at least 24 hours of "bah humbug" !.
The action takes place at Shipham Woods, Shipham, on a new course, only used last year, starting at 12.00, just of the A38 south of Churchill, for a bit of fun and will cater for riders of all abilities, solo modern and twin shock. Riders will be allocated into teams of five, to complete for the first prize of a Turkey, second prize a Chicken and the "duffers" who come last a Plum Pudding !.
The venue is ideal for anyone to have a go and any rider who takes on the additional challenge of competing in Fancy Dress will be eligible for a separate award. Observers also get a ticket for a guaranteed prize in their own the Raffle, so riders - bring a "volunteer".
Sausage and Chips along with the Prize Giving and Awards, all included in the Entry Fee, will be at the Langford Inn. Churchill, immediately after the event. With the Prizes and Raffles, the Club is hoping to get at least forty riders to make the event worth while, so don't miss a very sociable afternoon. Entry Form is here on the club web site.
